You can cook anything in your toaster oven that you can in your large oven as long as it will fit and you have the appropriate sized pan. Our first Toaster oven recipes is for Stuffed Franks
Preheat the toaster oven to low on broil.
Ingredients for Stuffed Franks:
- 4 knockwurst or lg. hot dogs
- Mustard-Cheddar stuffing (recipe follows)
- Reuben stuffing (recipe follows)
- 4 hot dog buns
Directions for making Stuffed Franks:
- Split each Frank lengthwise almost through to bottom.
- Place the hot dog slit side down on oven pan of a toaster oven with a drip tray.
- Broil the hot dogs on low position for 7 to 10 minutes.
- Remove the franks from heat and let cool slightly.
- Now Turn the hot dogs so the slit side is up and stuff slits with some of Cheddar or Reuben stuffing.
- Place back on pan and put the pan in the toaster oven and Broil in toaster oven, until the franks are done and cheese is bubbly.
- Makes 4 servings.
The Second Toaster Oven Recipes is for a wonderful Apple Crisp
This makes two servings so you can double the recipe and make a standard serving of four!
Ingredients for Toaster Oven Apple Crisp:
- 2 apples
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 heaping table spoons of brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Dash of salt
- 2-4 tbsp. water
- 1 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces
Directions for Toaster Oven Apple Crisp:
Preheat the toaster oven to bake at 375 degrees
Peel and core apples, then slice them directly into a toaster oven baking tray or cookie sheet.
Get a small bowl and blend the flour with the brown sugar and the salt and the cinnamon.
Now Scatter sugar cinnamon and flour mixture over apples.
Sprinkle water over all ingredients (use more water than called for if apples are not very juicy).
Finally Space out pieces of butter over the top of everything.
Place tray in the oven and bake at 375.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Yield: 2 servings.
